Willie D
William “Willie D” Daniel is a musical entrepreneur in Austin, TX. He leads Willie D & The Hip Pockets and The Dreamland Dance Band, operates Dreamland Music, LLC and Blue Vada Records, composes for TGR’s episodic “Le Peep” Cabaret Revue and teaches Saxophone/Clarinet at Austin’s Strait School of Music. He previously worked as saxophonist and music director for legendary singer Soul Man Sam and MC for Antone’s “Blue Monday” series. He is nominated in two categories for the 2025 Austin Music Awards: “Best Music Instruction” with Strait School of Music and “Best Residency” with Blue Monday at Antone’s with Soul Man Sam.
